Seminar Objectives:
This seminar aims to:
Ø Update speech pathologists, speech pathology students and other professionals with the latest evaluation, treatment and management strategies in Swallowing Therapy.
Ø Have speech pathologists and other professionals understand the critical concepts regarding management and treatment of patients with Dysphagia.
Ø Implement appropriate evaluation and treatment procedures for patients with Dysphagia
Ø Differentiate and use diagnostic procedures and tools as opposed to screening tools
Ø Select and conduct the appropriate diagnostic and treatment tools and strategies
Ø Formulate proper diagnosis by identifying the cause of the symptoms of Dysphagia
Ø Inform the members of the Multidisciplinary team for Dysphagia management of their roles in handling patients with Dysphagia
